ANGELA MERKEL
THE MOST POWERFUL POLOITICIAN WOMAN NOWADAYS.
As all you know Ángela Merkes is the first female chancellor in Germany, and one of the most powerful politicians (including men and women) in the world. She was born in Hambourg, West Germany, on July 17th, 1954. Daughter of a Lutheran pastor and a teacher, her original name was Ángela Dorothea Kasner. She grew up in a rural area in the north of Berlin, she studied Physics at the University of Leipizg, and she worked as a Chemist for 12 years after earnig a doctorate in 1978. In 1990 she joined the Christian Democratic Union (CDU). Soon after, she was appointed as a Minister for Women and Youth. She was named Secretary-General of the CDU in 1998, and she was chosen party leader in 2000 and 2 years after that she lost her first battle for chancellor in 2002 against Edmund Stoiber. Being the winner of the election in 2005 she was declared Germany's first female chancellor. Nowadays, she is still/continues being the chancellor of Germany and one of the most powerful politicians in the world, nobody can discuss a word with her in the European Union and perhaps in the entire world either. In Spain, she is like "a pain in the ass" for our presidents because she always said to them (Zapatero and Rajoy) what to do and how to do it, and because of this she had a very bad press in our country but it is one more way to show the world the power she has. Two days ago I've read an article which says that Angela Merkel could be the only person who can mediate in the Ukrainian crisis, between Russia and Ukraine because both countries have more respect for her than for all the war ships which Obama can send to intimidate the Russian leader, perhaps it is not true but for me is not difficult to believe.

THE MONA LISA
The Mona Lisa is a portrait of a woman by the Italian artist Leonardo da Vinci
The painting is thought to be a portrait of Lisa Gherardini. It's the most visited painting , and I think the woman is the best Known woman in the world.
Her enigmatic smile and not knowing for sure who is represented on the picture, has made this picture of this woman the most visited painting in the museum of Louvre.
Many people can recognize Madame Curie, or Mother Teresa de Calcuta , and even Angela Merkel in her, but I'm sure they all know who the Mona Lisa is.
Although sometimes it's much better to see the painting through TV or the Internet , and not at the museum, because the crowd makes it impossible for you to have a look at it carefully.

ANGELA MERKEL
Angela Dorothea Kasner was born in 1954 in Hamburg, Germany. She is the oldest of Horts and Herlind Kasner’s three children and has a brother, Marcus, and a sister, Irene. She was raised in the small countryside town of Templin, in the German Democratic Republic (also known as East Germany). Her family lived quite well, because her father who was a Lutheran pastor, had a good relationship with the communist regime of GDR, so they had some rights denied to Christian pastors, such as easily crossing from West Germany to East Germany, and owning two cars. After studying in Templin, Merkel went to the University of Leipzig, where she studied Physics from 1973 to 1978. She then worked at the “Central Institute for Physical Chemistry in Berlin from 1978 to 1990. In 1977, Angela Kasner married physicist Ulrich Merkel, but the marriage ended in divorce in 1982. Merkel remarried in 1998 to Joachim Sauer, a Chemistry professor from Berlin who she has been married to since. Merkel first entered the political world in 1989, after the fall of the Berlin Wall. Today she is the first Chancellor of Germany, main industrial country of the European Union.
